Do I need a security licence to operate the kit? No. The detectors are pre-programmed and designed for non-specialist operators. Our setup video and optional training cover everything you need to know.
How long does setup take? Allow approximately 30 minutes for two people to assemble the walk-through detector by hand. Our video walks you through every step. We recommend hiring the kit for an extra day before your event so you can set up and practice with no pressure.
How many people are needed to set up? Two people are required to assemble the walk-through detector safely and comfortably.
How much power does the walk-through detector need? It runs on standard mains power. We'll confirm exact specs when you book so you can plan placement.
What size space do I need? We'll advise on space requirements during booking based on your guest flow. As a rough guide, allow at least 2 metres of clearance around the archway.
Can I hire for just one day? Yes — but we strongly recommend adding a day either side for setup, practice, and pack-down. It's the single best thing you can do to remove stress from event day.
How much is delivery? Delivery is quoted based on your location and is added to your hire fee. We'll confirm the cost before you confirm your booking, so there are no surprises.
What happens if there's an issue during my event? You'll have a direct phone line to us throughout your hire. We'll talk you through any issue immediately.
Do you offer setup and training? Yes — these are optional add-ons for customers who want a more hands-off experience. Get in touch for a tailored quote.
Can you handle larger events with multiple lanes? Absolutely. Get in touch with your event details and we'll design a custom screening solution.
Is a bond required? Yes, a refundable security bond is required for every hire. The amount is discussed during the quoting process and is returned in full once the kit is back in good condition.
What's your cancellation policy?
- 14+ days before hire start: full refund less a $200 admin fee
- 7–14 days before hire start: 50% refund
- Within 6 days of hire start: no refund
